General description

Mammals contain three main classes of histone H3 variants: the replicative histones (H3.1 and H3.2), the replacement histone (H3.3) and the centromeric histone (Cenp-A). Histone H3 is located on human chromosome 6p22.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide corresponding to the Acetyl-Histone H3 (Lys56)

Physical form

Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide.

Specificity

This antibody reacts to Histone H3 acetylated at Lysine 56 (K56ac). No cross reactivity with other acetylated Lysines in histone H3.
